Privacy Policy

Last revised: 12 June 2026

This policy explains how Dogkit English Lab Sdn Bhd (Business Reg. No. 202302041187 (1527409-P), "Dogkit", "we", "us"), of Unit 2-7, Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru, 59100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, handles personal data in connection with the website dogkit.help and our online English teaching services. We process personal data in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA").

1. What we collect

We collect only what the service genuinely needs:

  • Enquiry data — name, email address, optional phone number, the course you are interested in and the message you send through our contact form.
  • Learner records — once you enrol: placement assessment notes, lesson attendance, coach feedback, progress reviews and, where you consent, lesson recordings.
  • Billing data — invoicing name, address and payment references. Card details are handled by our payment providers and never stored on our systems.
  • Technical data — limited cookie data as described in our Cookie Policy.

For learners under 18, we collect enrolment information from a parent or guardian, and all communication about the child's progress is directed to that adult.

2. Why we collect it

  • To respond to enquiries and arrange placement chats;
  • To deliver lessons, track progress and issue certificates;
  • To invoice and collect payment for courses;
  • To improve our teaching materials, using anonymised information wherever possible;
  • To meet legal obligations such as tax record-keeping.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing messages unless you have asked for them. Any marketing email we send includes a working unsubscribe link.

3. Lesson recordings

Lessons are recorded so learners can revise. Recordings are shared only with the learner (or parent) and the teaching coach, are stored on access-controlled storage, and are deleted no later than twelve months after the course ends, or earlier on request.

4. Who we share data with

Data is disclosed only to: (a) the coach assigned to you; (b) service providers who host our systems, process payments or deliver video classes, each bound by contractual confidentiality; and (c) authorities where the law requires it. Some providers store data outside Malaysia; where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure protection comparable to the PDPA.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry data that does not lead to enrolment is deleted within twelve months. Learner records are kept for the duration of your course and up to twenty-four months afterwards (so returning learners can resume where they stopped). Billing records are kept for seven years as required by Malaysian tax law.

6. Security

We limit access to personal data to staff who need it, protect our systems with encryption in transit, unique credentials and two-factor authentication, and review access rights quarterly. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we treat your data as carefully as we treat our own.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPA you may request access to your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, withdraw consent to processing (which may mean we can no longer teach you), and limit processing for marketing. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within twenty-one days.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in any meaningful way, we will post the revised version here with a new revision date and, for enrolled learners, mention the change by email.
